Jason White is the man behind SchoolSports.co.nz, with his vision to get all kids into the sport that suits their abilities, starting at grassroots as today’s young will be tomorrow’s stars!
Jason has an extensive sporting background which started in Wanganui as a young man, where cycling was his passion.
Moving to Palmerston North he opened and owned a small cycle shop that was dedicated to offering top service and helping the young to old into the sport of cycling.
Early 90’s Jason become a National Commissare (Cycling Ref) and completed Levels One and Two in coaching through SPARC and when not found in his store could be see helping the local cycling club in his spare time.
Through the next ten years he helped many local young athletes who have gone on be today’s elite sports people winning many world championship titles and Olympic medals.
From 1999 to 2002 Jason was lucky enough to be given the job of Mechanic to the National cycling team which included the likes of Hayden Roulston and Sarah Ulmer.
2002 to 2003 Jason took on the role of event coordinator running the National Criterium Champs for Bikenz and many other Centre Championships.
He moved to the Bay of Plenty with his boys 5 years ago and has been enjoying his role as a primary school sports coordinator for the majority of those years.
With his many years of sporting experience, Jason also brings with him a fun and spirited outlook to sporting for the young and an abundance of patience - it's all about FUN!
